Prospective Volunteer Instructors
We are always in need of volunteers to help organize and enhance our programs throughout the year. We aim for a one to one Instructor to student ratio and take in up to 80 Students. Many volunteers have told us that becoming an adaptive ski or snowboard instructor has made a profound impact on their lives. They feel fulfilled with the experiences they have with their students. Volunteers feel great satisfaction with the improvements their students make during the season.

CADS Edmonton will provide volunteer instructors on hill training using adaptive techniques for the various disciplines of adaptive skiing and snowboarding.
In addition to local training, CADS-Edmonton encourages instructors to pursue CADS certification through courses offered either locally or in other zones (financial assistance toward attending such courses may be offered upon approval by the Edmonton Board).
Non-skiing volunteers in snow boots can assist instructors and supervisors on the bunny slopes. Volunteers are indispensable when assisting in the lodge and helping organize fun events at the hill.
2024/2025 Volunteer Registration
All volunteers will register through snowline - one easy step to become a CADS member ($48 membership fee). Register today as an instructor or volunteer!! An instructor is a member that is participating on snow, a volunteer is a member that is not participating on snow.
Help CADS Recruit Volunteer Instructors!
As an incentive to bring in new volunteers we are asking that returning volunteer instructors encourage a friend, co-worker or family member to register for the upcoming season. If they become a volunteer instructor for the current season, you will be entered into a draw. Thanks in advance for helping us spread the word about this fantastic program!
